Hey Everyone!

I figured it was time to properly introduce myself since I’ve been using this forum for a while now. I really appreciate all the help and insights I’ve gotten so far, it’s been incredibly valuable! I currently ride a 2024 CB650R E-Clutch model and live near Pensacola. So far, I’m absolutely loving it! This is actually the first motorcycle I’ve ever driven off the lot with 0 miles on the odometer, which has made it even more special. Before this, I rode a 1986 CB450SC, which I recently started transforming into a café-style bike. That project is still ongoing, but the itch to ride was too strong, so I decided to bite the bullet and pick up the CB650R which I had been eyeing for quite some time and I have zero regrets! I’ll be uploading a service manual in the resources section once I finish scanning it. Hopefully, it can help others the same way this forum has helped me.

Looking forward to connecting with everyone and learning even more along the way. Thanks again, and ride safe!

Cheers!
-Alan

Welcome Alan! You've chosen the right bike, just on the wrong color! 😝

Joking! Mine is black 😉

I really wanted a black one to be honest! Looking back, I let the impulse to buy the bike override my patience lol There weren’t any black 650s available in my area, so I ended up going with the pearl. It’s slowly growing on me though 😅 If it still bothers me in a few months, I’m thinking about wrapping the tank and air intakes. I can imagine wrapping a tank isn’t exactly easy!

Don't know if you like this... but I've used a tank cover from Bagster in the past, in another bike, and they have good quality and it's easy to put on the bike:

Don't know if they have one to fit our version or if the 2021 will fit though.

I was lucky... the black was the only CB with E-clutch available and the 1st sold by my dealer. One of the first E-clutches sold here in Portugal. 😁

Welcome, have you liked the e-clutchness so far?
To me, the e-clutch is great!
Only downside is on cold starts... it doesn't like to work with a cold engine/oil. Too much unnecessary clutch work. But after a few hundred meters it becomes awesome.
It's so smooth and fast you can downshift while leaning and it doesn't upset the bike.
When you are behind a car getting ready to overtake, you can downshift without closing the throttle and let the bike scream "I gonna pass you"! So satisfying! 😁
It's also great to wave to other riders with your left hand while changing gears... "Look at me I have an E-clutch" 🤣
It's also safer to ride in the wet! Since it changes gears with speed and smothness, you spend less time with the bike disengaged.
It feels great on dry and safer on wet.
It's an E(xtraordinary) - Clutch ! 😂
