the Power gain is about 8HP for a pipe and PCV on the 14-16, and about 4HP on the 2017 model.
the biggest benefit I have seen commented on by member of this forum have been sound and power delivery. which for many, has made the bike a lot better to ride than the power increase. which is where I would say the main cost benefit is, in your riding experience. Not the Dynamometre.

I really like my after market exhaust the sound is great and the power is better. Is it
worth the money?,I think so,there is little sound in the stock exhaust and twice the weight.
Duncan, what exhaust do you have on your bike?

I wouldn't mind some weight savings... But I don't go to the track, so not sure I'd appreciate the reduction much.

I like the sound of some of the aftermarket pipes, but actually prefer the quiet of the stock 90% of the time.

For me, all in all, I'd take an aftermarket exhaust for free.. But it's just too expensive for me to buy :greedy::D

I had too many close calls with the stock exhaust here in thailand. So to stay
alive here you need a louder exhaust and a very loud horn, and balls of steel.

You got that right, kids as young as 10 are on the road in trucks as well as
motorcycles,80% of the drivers where i live do not have a driver's licence. For
the first 6 months of this year nearly 7000 dead and countless hurt. And still they
ride with 1 in 7 that wear helmets. Yes, a different world of riding.

I'm sure traffic is a lot different in Thailand than it is here in western Europe (or the US) but the "they need to hear me coming" argument is a bit of a fallacy.

That's if you could see 10kg reduction in weight. In the UK I find car drivers etc generally accommodating and in fact a race can where I live actually piss** the locals off. You have to do what you have to do.

Most aftermarket exhausts save about 10lbs. in weight, the whole stock exhaust
weight is less than 10kg.Please advise me if i am wrong.

Can anyone help with a link to a video or a picture of somebody who had cut up and dissected a standard exhaust on the internet. I have seen this once but cannot for the life of me find it again. Thanks

I have the same issue. It was in thailand I think, and they removed the internal plates to make the stop pipe have 1 big resonance chamber with minimal flow restriction.

God that's heavy. I wonder if the new ones any lighter?
That I don't know. However, the new exhaust is a lot louder and seems to be freer flowing too. There's not the lag that I got with the old one. Gearing is different on new one though and it's taking me a while to get used to... still pulls amazingly in every gear!
