@Road Hog the engine case has cracked and split the water jacket. That isn't a new gasket fix, it's a new cylinder block fix.

This is the truth. If you’re a mechanical person, or are friends with someone who is, it’s a nice weekend project. If not, a shop will charge quite a bit but all is not lost. I’d also start looking around for a used motor, these bikes are cheap to get into and a lot of times sold to newer riders so it should be fairly reasonable to get into a used motor. The biggest expense will be the engine block. It could be put back on the road after that for very little money.

It happens buddy. Don't be too hard on yourself.I dont have full insuranceI don't have the money for it. The price for the bike was 6.500€ and I am still a student. My income isn't very high. I could only afford it because I sold my last bike.
The insurance I have is 300 a year. Full coverage costs over 1000€. Way too high for me. That's what I thought at least. You are always smarter afterwards... Really dumb decision. Comparing the 1000€ against a new bike.
I think if every part which has been bent or broken is replaced, the end result can be as good as a new bike. Of course you need a proper mechanic and probably a lot of expensive replacement parts. Also i don't know if it is ever gonna be like it was before...
Fantastic news, congrats! Great to have you back, you missed one detail though, what colour did you go for?
Of all the target buyers Honda would have thought of for the new 650R, a totaled 650F owner would probably have never been considered in their venn diagrams and pie charts![]()
Nice decision! Work hard and be happy!! No more frame sliders on the new one, right?
