Don't see a way how you could make the pipes NOT seated properly.Realized I don’t need the extension, but now I’m wondering if the exhaust is seated properly. Is there a good way to tell if the header pipes aren’t seated properly?
Yeah, put new gaskets in, was satisfying crushing them. The only header pipe I’m concerned about is this guy cause it looks like it might have been seated further initially. I had to take the header pipes out of the link pipe to fit everything. The bike runs fine.Don't see a way how you could make the pipes NOT seated properly.
Hope you used new copper gaskets
I’m going to check it with soapy water before my next ride.If there's no leak, there's no problem.

I did the soapy water on a cold start and did not see any bubbles - exhaust wasn’t hot enough to evaporate the water for first 30 seconds or so. Honestly next time I have another excuse to work on the bike I’ll probably just reinstall it just for peace of mind, but I think it’s fine for now. That might start to boil quickly on the headers. Use a flame or smoke as that shows moving gasses easily.
