All 650's Acoustic cameras to fine noisy vehicles, UK.

So how are we feeling about the news today that trials are starting on acoustic camera systems to spot fine noisy vehicles? Write ups refer to boy racers in souped up vehicles & motorists in general, but then move on to pick out bikes. All footage I have seen has been only bikes. Hope you haven't spent too much boys & girls!!! !

Just always ride in close formation past the cameras... I don't see how they could pick the noises apart.

Plus the cameras will be vandalised more often than not.

I expect it to be a storm in a tea cup.

I imagine they will also be radar activated so they only listen when a vehicle is passing on the road.

I was only jesting, but I guess you could still be driving past at the wrong time. I struggle to see how this can be done effectively at the moment. Also makes me laugh to hear a politician talking about reducing pointless, annoying noise(my words, not theirs). They need to look in the mirror!! (couldn't find milkshake on face)

This can't be cheap, and it's to solve a problem that I expect to be very local and limited to a relatively small group of offenders. It's unlikely these sound camera's are going to be widespread throughout the UK.

I'll bet they have them as mobile units....watch those motorway bridges....especially after a BSB event
