80, 90 and 100w bulbs?

Has anyone tried a more powerful H4 bulb? I saw a Bosch 90/100w bulb that I wanted to try. Coult it damage the electrical system?

I haven’t personally tried the swap you mention above, but in general a fuse is rated for twice the engineered circuit load. A higher wattage bulb will draw more current, but how much is the question? If you exceed the current rating, the fuse will blow to protect the circuit from a thermal event 🔥

You could also make the light housing brittle due to the increased heat.

Yes, lots of risks. Ended up buying an Osram Night Racer. Seems to be good!
