Hi TelmoF, in my experience, the Honda Shop Manual is way more comprehensive. However, they are both fairly affordable, so you could purchase both. Stick to the Honda OEM if you can only have one. Hope it helps. Cheers.

Just an FYI for those in NA. The Helm manual is the authorized print of the official Honda Service Manual 61MKN00 for the CBR650R/RA and CB650R/RA
62MKN00 is a companion shop manual which as I understand is not quite as comprehensive as the 61 version, but still valued information just the same. Honda actually recommends owning both, but the 61 version is all you may really need.

So, 62MKN00 is kind of extract from 61MKN00?

Do do know how many pages have both versions?

I don't own the 62 version only the 61. It's pretty complete coverage with 22 sections and over an 1" thick. The info I got on the differences came from Helm and speaking with a shop tech at my local dealer.

Yes there is big bit at the bag, with the full schematics for all the wiring.

The service manual not only has a full wiring diagram, it also contains a section on how to test electrical components (often using a multimeter) to help find out what needs to be replaced.

Hi Ern818, I actually posted about the 62MKN00 - Honda Shop Manual from Lings here on this forum for the very first time(not that is relevant). This manual is the actual Workshop Manual that a mechanic would use to literally take apart and put back together the bike. It is extremely comprehensive and it is made by Honda to be used by Honda mechanics. Don't know about the '61' version, but the '62' is the actual Workshop Manual for Honda mechanics.
