1st year service. What are you paying?

I'm in the UK

My CBR650R 2025 is due its first year service soon. I contacted 4 dealers and received prices between £195 to £265

One of the dealers said the cost of parts have shot up in recent years.

I'm interested to read what you paid or have been quoted for?

I Paid £140 for mine, admittedly this was 4 years ago now, but that seems extreme. I would suggest looking for a local Independent maybe? As long as they use genuine parts, you should be fine warranty wise? just a suggestion.

Here in Portugal, last year, I paid 150€ (£130) for the first service, not counting with the one at 1000Kms.

Maybe the parts price shot up only in UK... blame the Brexit! 😆

I agree. Not good to any of the parts involved.
UK and Portugal have the oldest alliance in the world. Would be good to have you back in EU. 🙂

I was quoted pretty similar numbers recently - seems like that’s just the going rate now, especially at main dealers.

Pretty naff for a oil change and look over.

So long as oem filter and rated grade of oil used any vat registered shop can do it, stamp the book and warranty stays valid.

Shop around non-dealers.
