I have a 2019 cbr650r with 20k km on it always maintained on time, no track days. Recently I bought boots and adjusted the shifter rod length so I can fit my boot in there as it was too narrow. After this the transmission started acting weird.

anyone else noticed any play on the gear shifter link rod ends/mountings? Seems that the uniballs are riveted from both ends and in time they losen up.
Thought I'd angle grind the oem uniball rives off and replace them with stainless M6's to get rid of the play.
