Hello all! I wanted to share this project I've been working on for about two weeks now. I wasn't super happy with existing aftermarket levers, and wanted to ensure the fitment would be perfect so I drew up my own and I'm about to order them to be fabricated

The design allows for infinite adjustability within the allowable range, due to the screw design with the adjustment knob. Gives a rather nice range of motion to boot. I've 3D printed these out and done test fits, and so far no wobble while in the housing, and the clutch cable fits perfectly. This is mainly due to taking fine measurements of the original lever which has allowed me to get the fitment perfect.

From my CAD program, looks like it should weigh about 76g total (full assembly for the lever), which doesn't sound too bad.

As for colors, I really like a black base color with a red adjustment dial in the end. Not sure on the black yet, but I do like RAL 5004. For the red, probably will be RAL 3024 to stand out a bit.

And while I want to order a few and do some crude tests to ensure safety, I have run simulations that shows the lever should perform well under duress.

I'm not opposed to selling them if anyone is interested! The more people would want to buy them, the cheaper I could make them due to scaling. This post was more to share my progress since it's exciting. I have a 2020 CBR650R, assuming that all 2019+ CB(R)650Rs would be compatible, though I also assume that the pre 2019 models would use the same mount.

Now for pics!

Very cool. Why only clutch?

Did you base the adjustment mechanism off the ASV C5 levers?
The brake lever will come soon, but it'll be easier with one out of the way. Plus, at least the brake lever is adjustable already so it's something to go off of. Partially due to cost, as the prototypes I'll have machined will most likely end up being ~$700 to $1400 in total for 3 levers. The actual lever itself will most likely be able to be used again, so it's one less part to make special.

And while there are similarities to the ASV C5 levers, the design I made uses a small bearing to make contact with the base rather than just a threaded rod of sorts. Makes it a little cheaper and less likely to wear out since I can just buy the parts off the shelf.
