All 650Fs Upgrade to Assist/Slipper Clutch to 2016 CBR650F ?

Possible swap clutch from 2019 CBR650R (the first year they added assist/slipper clutch)
I only saw one post from way back on this. But no followup. With all the pre-2019 CBR650's out there was hoping more people knew of any problems after installing assist/slipper clutch from 2019 CBR650R to earlier CBRs with same engine/transmission...saw one video with a parts list from thailand only...thanks

It has been done, but you need to swap the entire clutch basket. Pretty sure the plates were the same, but compare part numbers on the microfiche to be sure.

Thank you. It's been done is good enough; As long as new basket fits under the same crankcase cover looks like the 2019 new plates/discs come as one set.
Then new basket & plates all fit on the same part# Clutch guide and oil pump sprocket etc

This actually works fantastic; finished this job switching my 2016 CBR650F entire clutch basket with slipper/assist clutch found in the 2023 CBR650R [different center &outer baskets, plates & disks]. It goes from 5 springs down to 3 springs and also much easier over all. I consider this an upgrade, and it would work from 2019~2023 slipper/assist clutches w/3 springs.

I purchased a 2023 clutch assy from ebay and all came in to switch out my 2018cb650f clutch assy. I installed all and tourqued the lockout down, installed all steel and fiber plates. Reused old lockout. Having issues getting pressure plate to sit down properly so I can install the clutch springs. Did u have issues getting the pressure plate to engage and sit down?

Hello, how is it holding up, how does the bike feel during gearshifts now compared to before installing the slipper clutch?
Also, how much did it cost for the upgrade?
