CBR650R H.i.s.s/engine light cbr 650r

Long story short, was traveling up the m4 on my 21 cbr650r and out of nowhere engine light came on, engine/bike sounded absolutely fine. No apparent issues. So I took the precaution and pulled into the services and switched off. I turned the ignition on again and still the engine light stayed on, pressed the start and the starting sounded completely different


fast forward to today The engine & Hiss lights stayed on for a second or two then turn off any ideas where I can start getting to the bottom of this issue?

I have not, can I connect a obd scanner?

Hmm not sure if you can as I have a 2015, I'm fairly sure though that you can just use the 'wire in the plug end' technique to get the fault code to flash, which you will then have to search for the appropriate code vs amount of flashes shown / ask for advice on the forum if its a new one?

I can't seem to find them now, but there is a couple of write ups on the forum on other people describing the procedure of what to do 👍.

Mine starts the same, sounds normal but the lights act the same. Is there anything to worry about? Times before i remember the lights turning off like 5 seconds after ignition. Now is doing this

Havent checked yet. I just ordered the OBD tool and the 6pin adapter. Im really new to this stuff to be honest.
The only 'issue' is that it keeps the 2 lights on like 1 seconds after its started. Never had the MIL on while driving
