Hi all,

I have been so consumed with riding the bike the mileage has crept up to 540 miles already, I did not book a service and now (my fault) have to wait till the 31st May for a service. I negotiated the 1st service in the purchase deal so don't want to go elsewhere and pay for it (tight Yorkshire git, here)

Would you ride past 600 miles or curb the enthusiasm and keep below 600 till the bike is serviced.

thanks in anticipation

The service manual states 1000km which is 620 miles, so you can go 20 miles more without even breaking Honda's own mileage suggestions :)

Cheers guys, will keep to the 620 I think, BTW once the engine has loosened up there seems to be a distinct increase in power (or is it just me)

Agree with what's been said.

Your biggest worry is if you need warranty work and Honda decides to check your service records. Not sure how likely that is.

As far as bike damage? I wouldn't worry about it.
