Hi. Lovely bike isn't it! I've had my Black Edition since the end of April, but added a few mods.
I also hate the tail and looking to change it next year.
I also have a vibration issue and still get a numb right hand most rides. I fitted an extra set of bar weights along with "grip puppies"...
Well, just passed 1100 miles on the clock and the bike is running beautifully. Much better bottom end power than when new.
Had to adjust the throttle cable as there was too much play in the cable, and another chain adjustment.
Still getting a numb right hand even with grip puppies and heavier...
The guards are these ones...
I also fitted an additional set of bar ends to clamp the guards between them
These bar ends fitted perfectly:

I left out the three inner parts and the rest...
I got my blind spot mirrirs attached to the hand guards okay, but my regular mirrors partly obscured them so I fitted a set of mirror risers from Amazon and that has solved the issue.
I also found my old Oxford soft panniers so I have fitted their straps under the rear seat and secured the...
I finally got my bike back today from the dealer. All sorted.
Now I need to find a dual camera system that also records with motion detect while parked without flattening the bike's main battery, has impact detection and finally 4G so I can get a live feed or review recordings from the system...
the mobile units aren’t just for speeders. They have cameras with ANPR. the whole country is littered with them on motorways and city boundaries. they log vehicle registrations as they pass and they all get checked for insurance, tax, license etc….
There are roads without cameras but the police have mobile units and unmarked traffic cars and we also have a lot of average speed cameras here that check your average over a long distance so going through a checkpoint too early will result in an automatic ticket, a fine, penalty points and...
Bike is getting collected by Honda CareAssist and taken back to the local dealer I got it from to do the repair work.
I don't want to use the insurance's repairer as the bike is so new it hasn't even had the first 600 mile service yet.
If the parts cost isn't too much mroe than the excess...
I can't drive it anywhere I can apply it's full power apart from a few local private airfields. There's speed cameras up all around here.
I did most of my last bike's 43k miles without taking it anywhere near its power band.
I do notice the lack of bottom end power compared to my 2007 CB600...
Thanks. They'll need to replace the ignition lock, it's mountings and the top yoke as a minimum.
Unfortunately I don't think my local dealer will do the work as I'm at the mercy of the insurance company now.
Still waiting for them to call me to arrange an uplift..................
Some right BA&T@RD has tried to steal my bike. I got a notification from ther GPS tracker and I was at the bike within about 45 seconds - nobody near, but on inspection, the steering lock was snapped, handlebars were twisted to the right, and I cannot get the ignition key turned away from the...
My 2007 CB600 hornet that got crashed in March, after 43k miles, had 4 chains, 2 sets of sprockets, 4 oil and filter changes, brake pads, tyres (Pirelli Angel ST), a clutch cable, and a replacement (used) rear shock absorber with new bushes.
I never had the plugs out or had to replace anything...
It's the IAM Roadsmart course. Meeting my observer tonight to get started.
It seems the police ride safe course is just in England and Wales, not in Scotland. Probably the same course anyway.
