I'm looking to buy a used 2014 CBR650F with 2600miles this week. The guy is wanting $4600 (good deal?). What are some things I should look for when I go take a look at the bike. Somethings to look for are bolts/nuts, folk seals, frame straightness, brakes, wheels etc. Are there any specifics on the 650F to watch out for?

I'll add...should you get the bike be prepared to replace normal stuff...tires, fluids, etc... Check the wheel bearings and chain. Don't let the low mileage fool you - a sitting bike can produce dried seals and whatnot.

Then again, it is a Honda!!!

Nope, it’s a solid bike, just look for the normal things and don’t get to hung up on scratches or rash, parts for this bike are very cheap in the US.

Enjoy!!!

Thanks
The bike was mint and spotless except for one spot on the tank. A little rock chip but it seem to have some surface rust.
It does need that recall. So thanks for pointing that out to me.

I would ask the owner to let me the bike for a short ride 10-15min to test that everything is in order when the bike is running.
For example forks, brake discs and tires could be good looking when the bike is parked, however is you move the bike you could check if there is some leakage at the forks, also if the bike brakes straight. If the bike has been parked for a long time, tires may be deformed due to have the weight in the same point of the tire, not a big deal but you could negociate a discount to replace them ;)
