Want to install new grips. The throttle tube on the 650F is ribbed and nearly impossible to slip any grip on it without using a sandpaper Dremel and completely sanding the tube smooth.

what aftermarket throttle tubes can I slap on? Thanks

G2 ergonomics but it's a bit pricey
Unfortunately I don't know about any other aftermarket brands

I put grips on my bikes before plenty of times.

This time the grip glue was maybe applied too heavy, so the glue went inside the throttle tube and stuck it to the handlebar now.

the throttle twists, but it's very sticky. Does not snap back. Dangerous to ride that way.

how do I remove the throttle tube? I will just soak the plastic tube in acetone once I remove it to eat the glue all gunked up.

lesson learned. Don't use too much grip glue....

I had a hard time taking the silver throttle cables out of the slots in the plastic throttle tube :/ idk how to remove the tube.

Loose the throttle cable adjuster and screw it to give you some more slack to remove the cables from the tube slots
I’ve always did it without many issues

what glue did you use?
You should be able to remove it with some acetone
Don’t soak it, apply rubbing it with a micro fiber cloth, this should help catching up the gunk

Also check the service manual available to download
It explains everything about the bike, also how to remove the tube
