CBR650F Siphoning gas (2016 CBR650F)

I tried siphoning gas out of my 2016 CBR650F but there seems to be a "divider" of some sort (image below) and the gas is below that divider so couldn't siphon any out.

I'm guessing there must be a way to do it, but I have no idea how. Any advice?

I had to remove the tank from the bike and stand it on its "front" edge. You can get 99% of the fuel out then.

For my 2020 CB650R I used a smallish 1/2 inch clear vinyl tubing and was able to remove 15 litres, if I had tilted the tank I think that I could have got it all. I guess you were refilling your generator as well? I had 3 days without power and the gas stations with power were out of fuel. Thankfully yesterday some gas stations nearby got their power back and were fully stocked so I was able to fill all my vehicles and containers.
