I have my new CB650R parked in from of my house. To get to the main road I have a small patch of grass uphill and I cannot get out due to lack of traction!!!
I have tried a few times and even if sitting on the motorbike the back tire slides. I suppose the traction control only works at speed not standstill?

Do you have any suggestion? What can I put on the grass to improve traction?
-Should I try with an old doormat?
-Should I floor it and hope for the best?
-Something like this?

a narrow gravel path? would need to go slow, but would not look too out of place with the other landscaping

good idea. I could buy a bag of small gravel and create a small track. It will look ok and cost very little. I can buy plastic strips to put down but they might not provide enough grip.

There are mesh panels designed to provide for this situation.

Remove grass, lay panels, fill panels with dirt and reseed.

You then end up with a hard path that looks like grass. Keep it trimmed short.

There are also the concrete ones they used for police vehicle laybys... They look like large Choccy bars and you again put dirt and grass seed in the groves.

My regular bike shop has a steep slope, but not grass. Irregardless what motor size, start engine , put in 1st gear and walk with the bike up the slope.
