Also not sure should I keep the patina on the handlebar middle bit or should I do something to it...

Why you want a black frame and swing arm? I think it lose it vintage charm without bare aluminum frame.
Then, you could also say the same for the turn signals... however, despite changing them to leds he kept the same shape.
So, I think he wants a balance of retro and fresh / modern look. With that in mind, I think the black frame helps to give that fresh look, while the paint, mirrors and overall shape of the bike, show that it's a blast from the past. ;)

A bit of what MacR said, but also I am not sure how to proceed yet. The reason why I'd paint the frame is to hide the oxidation. I'm not fully sure yet can it be removed fully. (About to find out this week when I visit a hydro-grlassblower guy and we'll see how well it works out.) - That being said, I'd like to keep it as original as possible, but at the same time I'd like to make it look like my own. Just an internal struggle I guess atm. 😅

The rims are going to be white thou', that I'm sure of. The current "plan" looks something like this, but not sure is it going to stay:

(And yeah, I need to swap the silencer.. and It's almost impossible to find a OEM one that wont cost a ton.. so.. stainless it shall be..)

Working again? 😄😉

I think it depends on what you'll do about the paint on the handlebar...
I would paint everything black or give everything a clean aluminium look. 🙄
I've spent a lot of my free time at the garage.. A lot more than there are pictures of utubes about... Trying to get the project finished by July, but all the little and not so little things take time.. Plus I'm learning on the go so, makes it even more of an time sink.

About the handle bar middle piece, I'm still not sure about.. But I'm leaning a bit towards "restore it and make it look neat again". We'll see!

After sorting and tidying up at the garage, not awfully too much to do anymore. Just the part that's going to suck soon is to wait for parts to arrive.

Some of the stuff I've already started to clean/etc anyway, so it's even less than it looks

Also had to wash the garage today while I was sorting out the parts.. The amount of dust started to be icky. Also the new muffler came today, yay!

Some handlebar porn for you people (just couple things missing so can't assemble them fully just yet...like the cylinder seal, window and throttle cables.)

I had the OEM CB650R handle grips from heated grip swap and seems they're almost 1:1 fit on the MC22. The older ones were seen a bit of life so, in goes the CB650R's!

Got to love them smell of OEM in the morning. Finally getting most of the unfinished things done with these.

Frame is here, now I need to figure out do I put a lacquer on it or/and polish it.
You could assemble it, see how it looks, and if you don't like it, just disassemble it, put the lacquer and assemble it again... 😵‍💫
😄
Don't worry too much, I think it will look good either way 😉
