Hello,

I own a 2021 CB650R. I just bought this tail tidy for it.

The instructions to fit it however advise cutting off the connector from the original tail tidy's license plate light and using that to connect this one.

I would prefer not cannibalizing OEM parts in case I want to revert to the old tidy in the future without soldering.

Does anyone know what connector the license plate light uses, and if so where I can buy one? Vendor located in europe is preferred.

Thank you!

Somebody else would need to confirm, but I assumed it was this connector https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Cable-Adapt...p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0 you see these on the indicators to.

I'll be looking to do something similar with a mud guard I've ordered.

I thought you could buy it separately but I think you can only buy them assembled. https://www.babbittsonline.com/oemparts/a/hon/5ff5d07a87a8660a3c823191/taillight-license-light
Thank you for your help!

I assumed you could only get them assembled. The only way to get the connector separately would be to get it from whatever supplier honda used.

I'm going to buy that adapter, the connector looks right. Will post an update!

So, the store linked charges 16 euro to ship to Portugal, which is insane for a cheap connector.

I managed to do some googling and took some measurements from my bike's connectors.

The connectors in question are called Sumitomo HC 050 (2 pole).

I can find them on alibaba. Now to find somewhere that ships here.

Its actually easy to reuse the stock connectors...

Not sure if it is applicable for the tailight wiring but it might save you some hassle..

I could reuse them, it's just that I prefer keeping the stock parts without any modifications in case I want to put them back on the bike down the line.
