G'day boys, I've found myself in a situation where I need to get my bike through a road worthy, problem is the bike (cb650f/ABS) crackles and pops and makes all sorts of great noises, Honda says 2k for an oem exhasut. Any suggestions on a cheaper way to achieve 95db and no backfiring?

I assume you have a modified exhaust? Look at the Pair valve removal thread, this should reduce the Backfiring and Popping. Don't know if it will eliminate these, however it should reduce the problem.

A used OEM pipe should be extremely cheap to buy, absolutely no reason to buy new.
