Pretty much every tire I've seen that is good for cold temp has wet performance in mind but I couldn't care less about wet grip since I don't ride in rain and winter is dry as hell here. Tread pattern for dry surface and compound for cold temp is really what I need. Any recommendation? Does such thing even exist?

Exactly this, feeling of grip and safety from the first meters of your ride

I put the Metzeler Roadtec 02 on a couple of days ago. Ran them in yesterday on a windy road and they feel pretty damn good so far. Time will tell with longevity etc but they feel great so far. Supposed to be similar to Michelin Road 6 but maybe a bit more sporty and a little less longevity. They should still last 15,000-20,000km though depending on riding style. The Roadtec 01 SE were generally regarded to be fantastic tyres and these are the successor so should be good.

This is the answer. They are amazing in the rain but their dry grip and ability to work when cold are the true standouts of a tire that also gets serious mileage.

PR6 seems to be the go to choice over here too. Since I'm always interested in unpopular picks I am searching for other options atm but it is definitely at the top of my list. Thanks guys

Didn't know there was Roadtec 02! The 01 SE was on top of my list along with the PR5/6. The tread pattern resembles M9RR so that kinda tells you what to expect. Gonna be a solid option, thanks for lettin me know
