NO IDEA WHERE MY ORIGINAL FRONT LINE INSTALLATION THREAD HAS GONE, SO JUST REDID IT AGAIN!!!!

Tools required:
- 10mm spanner
- 8mm socket
- Rachet
- 4mm tubing (for bleeding)

Difficulty : intermediate

STEP 1: Bleed all the fluid out of the system.

STEP 2: locate the ABS modulator to master cylinder block.

This will be next to the right hand PAIR port (which was blanked earlier)

Undo the stay bolt to free the block.

STEP 3: Locate the ABS modulator to RH and LH front calipers. This can be found under the fork clamp just above the radiator.

Use 8mm socket and rachet to loosen the stay bolt and free the block.

STEP 4: Install is straightforwards.

STEP 5: Bleed the brakes ...

What I intend to do next....Consider STEP 5 only as a priming. For a proper bleed make sure front and rear brakes feel solid. Take it for a ride somewhere isolated in order to shake up the system. Return home and bleed, if no air bubbles and the brakes feel solid you are in commission.

No surprises.

Excellent, between this and Brammers' walkthrough I should have no problem fitting it so thankyou. It seems quite straight forward.

Ordered my lines a few days ago along with pads, coolant, brake fluid and PCV. I'm now very broke but at least I'll only have to strip the bike once for a few jobs!

Welcome to my world hahah! I think I could have bought a Ducati 959 for the money I have spent on this one! But at least I can say I have not skimped on the good stuff. Everything is worth it if you ride your bike rather than keep it in a garage or have the umpteen excuses people give for not riding their bikes lol!

Great info! I’m trying to do the same to my CB650R. Does those block connector serve any additional purposes other than redirecting the brake lines’ angles? I can basically take them out and connect the master cylinder directly to the ABS pump in and out ports with the new brake lines?

You cannot connect directly to the ABS pump. The kit comes with the blocks attached to the brake lines. Once you remove the stock lines, you connect the hard line from the ABS pump to the block on the new line. It will make more sense when you do it. The rear brake line block does not fit very well. It took me some effort and patience to get it in the correct position. The front was not too difficult. Here’s the kit for the 2019 CB(R)650R:

On a '21 CBR650R, gotta say the front lines don't fit that well. The t-junction at the front calipers has a clearance issue due to a tab. You could cut it, but still, Hel didn't do their homework.

The master cylinder block was not easy to reach. Be prepared to remove the lower airbox (might as well change the spark plugs while you're at it).
