CBR650R Heels are hitting swingarm, guards too short?

Hey fellas,

I wonder if anyone encountered such an issue.

When cornering, I move my foot slightly to the side of the corner. When doing so, my heel goes a bit backwards, and touches the swingarm. This is an issue since the swingarm is moving up and down, making my foot move up and down as well, which is potentially dangerous in the corners.

Comparing 650F (I used to ride it before changing it to the R) and 650R I can see that the aluminium guard near the foot peg is slightly shorter now. You can see that in pics by yourself.

I used to ride 650F and everything was fine, I changed the bike to 650R and now having this issue.

Anyone else noticed this?
Is there any kit/replacement part to make the foot peg guard slightly longer?

Appreciate any advice!
Cheers

As far as I know both F and R share the same mounting points for the rear set
Sato racing has one rear set for both bikes
Replace the R with the F
Eventually if anybody could confirm the distance in between the holes to install them on the chassis would clear any doubts

Replace the R with the F
I thought about it, however F is slightly different in terms of foot pegs position. I wonder if there is a solution without whole replacement.

Also I am wondering if it's just me or other people have this issue as well.

same here, touching the swingarm not just in the corners, noticed it on the test ride too.

Is it likely to push your foot on to the rear brake pedal ?!

I have the same issue with my heel rubbing the swingarm. I didn't realize it until I noticed the paint had rubbed off the swingarm. Haven't looked at correcting the issue. Moriwaki makes a very nice rearset but I think even with this the rubbing issue will continue to the way everything is positioned.
