Strictly anecdotal observation but...I asked my resident experts

@Brammers about the gasket issue a few weeks ago, as I did an AKRA install. I paid zero attention to the direction of the gaskets, as I didn’t really look at them that closely as I installed them. Best bet is I have 1/2 in one way, 1/2 the other. No leaks, but I did retorque the bolts after running the new pipe to operating temp.
In other words, I don’t think it matters which direction, just get the old ones out first as they are definitely one-time useage.
