Hi,
Just wondering, I bought a dual dash cam front and back.
I didn't find any posts regarding installation and mounting location.
Any one installed such cam on a cb650f ?
I have a Bullet HD dash cam (only one camera though) and I sticky-tape mounted it under the front, left cowl. There's a tiny portion of the tape exposed as the cowl curves but, so far, even at high speeds I've had zero issues!
I ran the USB line through the cowl and down the inside of the cowling next to the tank. The main unit is under the seat.
I bought it to be used as a "dash cam". The image quality is Ok for that. But do not expect a quality for beautiful YT videos. I have a chin mounted GoPro for that. The rear camera vibrates a bit (that's unavoidable on a motorcycle unfortunately). As I said - it's fully usable as a dash cam. It includes an optional GPS receiver (the location data is inserted to the file, not the video) and an optional "save" button. It creates a WiFi network and you can use an app on your phone to view, delete and download recordings (but the download is super slooow - it's much better to remove the SD card if you want to download more than a clip or two).
I've utilized the extra space that the LED headlamp version of the CBR650F has to hide the front cam (I've cut off the metal bracket and used "Sugru" mouldable material to attach the lens). The rear cam is placed in a space between the seat and the tail tidy.
I've order a different one from AliExpress. It has a screen so you can check the camera aiming without having to use a phone. I plan on installing the screen under the seat as there really is no need to be viewing the files unless there's an accident;
