Hello everyone 👋🏻

This is gonna be slightly longer post, I want to explan everything in detail, so, bear with me.

I own 2021 CB650R (I cannot describe how much I like this bike).
Bike is EU model, from Germany.
My friend bought it for me in Poland and he helped me import it in Georgia (country), where I currently live (told you I really liked the bike :D)
We don't have any Honda Motorcycle Dealers or service centers in Georgia, that's why I went through so many steps to get the bike to me.

My friend did basic inspection in Poland, but he cannot ride, so, nothing fundamental was checked, bike was basically new.

Once it got to me (after 2+ months), it turned out my CB is restricted to A2, with no dyno shops in my region to de-restrict it.

After many hours of reading and watching videos, best solution I found was Dynojet's PV3 for 2021 CB/CBR650R.
Their product page specifically mentions that AU and EU bikes are supported.

Carefully considered my options and pulled the trigger for $450 PV3.
Of course it didn't work on my bike's German ECU (PGM-FI unit) with part number 38770-MKY-DF1.
PV3 just didn't recognize the ECU. Dynojet support told me that "there's nothing they can do about this", so basically, false advertisment.
I'm in the process of returning PV3 now, so keep this in mind if you're planning on getting one.

Now, only other option I found yesterday is following:
I found that Thai ECU-s are compatible to this bike and also found sellers in Thailand (Shopee) and China (Taobao) who can sell me complete kit of unrestricted ECU (38770-MKY-T51), airbox pipes and blank HISS keys, which are very easily programmable (according to videos they sent me, and customer feedback)
So, I'm about to order that kit (about $400), I just can't leave this problem unsolved.
Will definitely post how that will go.

I found this forum very useful when I first started riding my CB, so, hopefully I can give back to this community as little as I can, this is the main reason I'm sharing all of this information.
If you find yourself in situation like this, feel free to comment or DM me, I'll help however I can.
I also did couple of nice mods to my motorcycle since I last posted here and I will share them as well little later.

If this post should have been posted under different thread, please move it.

Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions, and of course, ride safe, all of you 😁🤘🏻

Hi,
I have just derestricted my 2019 CB650R A2, by a local guy that has done this for many bikes even for Honda dealers, as there are no full power CB650R bikes imported into New Zealand. He provided the shorter intake stacks and reflashed the ECU with a tested dyno modified map. This has given the bike a real surge from 5k up.
Well worth doing if you venture above 6k, if you rarely go there probably not. The main advantage for me is in overtaking, it makes the bike feel a lot sharper and responsive. ;)

This is my second bike, first one was CB500F, which is A2 itself, so I'm quite familiar with what 35kw of power feels like and I definitely plan on venturing above 6k on my newer CB.
Can't wait to see/feel what fully unrestricted 650R is really like

Hi Phil, where did you get that done? How did you get on with insurance? Or did you not re-register the bike?
