So I brought my bike to a shop I’m pretty close with and they were helping/showing me how to install my full Akra correctly but I noticed a couple things that seemed off to me…

1. They used Blue loctite (which is fine I think just no video I’ve seen uses it)
2. When using the torque wrench I noticed it was set at 20ft-lb rather than the 16 it was supposed to be…
(I worry cause it was the bolts that go into the engine itself)

Everything seems to run and sound fine but was wondering if these things are cause for concern or if there’s anything I should check… don’t really wanna go poking around and Messing with stuff

The blue Loctite is pointless though, as the header bolts will greatly exceed the max temp rated for the Loctite. Also, thread locker can create slip when torqueing, causing more than intended torque. Most sources recommend reducing torque by 20% when using Loctite, unless the torque is spec'd for Loctite application. Just some thoughts ;-)

well, I was not aware of it changing the torque... but if it's going to melt and the torque is going to loosen after a few heat cycles does it matter? Also, it seems it's 50/50 if the thread locker affects tightening torque (according to multiple online sources)... and I assume if there was an issue I would have seen/noticed it by now?
