Hi All,

Been lurking for a while, but thought I would officially post an intro. I just picked up a new overstock 2019 CBR650R a few weeks ago and absolutely love it. I will admit that this forum played a bit of hand at helping my decision as I was on the fence between a couple of bikes, but the build quality of the Honda and vast knowledge of this site helped edge it out over the MT-07, and SV650X. It also keeps the unity in my garage as both me and my GF drive Accords (mine in manual, but her's is newer), and I also have a 2019 Honda Rebel 500 so Honda's rule the roost. (4runner has been pushed to the side spot!)

I've been riding for quite a while now and my past bikes are pretty wide ranged including 996 Superhawk, GS500, FZ6R, R6S, CBR500R, Katana 600, and the Rebel 500 as well as various off-road bikes throughout the years. Still miss the 996 as the V-twin was spectacular, but looking forward to many miles on the new addition!

Thanks for the warm welcome. This site is awesome. Much better organized and moderated than others.

Well after almost exactly 2 years it's time to bid farewell to all. This forum has been a tremendous resource, but I finally broke down and sold the CBR650R. Purchased a Rebel 1100 in June and while I didn't love the DCT at 1st, I slowly found myself gravitating towards it and leaving the 650 to sit. The DCT takes some getting used to but between the brute power of the 1100 and it's lightning fast shifts it's truly something to behold - deceptively fast and somehow amazingly efficient at nearly 50mpg!

Awesome!!! Enjoy your Rebel, it's a very unique bike, you don't see many around. Took me a bit to warm up to them, now I like it!!!

Welcome!
If you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine your in for a treat.
My first big bike, passed my full UK test on a sv650 in Kanuary which are lovely for a basic bike but nothing like the power, handling and thrill of the CBR650R!
Have lots of fun on yours she look great!
Can recommend the Honda Quickshifter and it’s easy to fit along with a tail tidy!
