My brother in law (and my sister) comes over for a visit in a few months and he wonders if a CBR650F is a suitable bike for him to rent.
He's just over 2 meter (6'7") and weighs well over 100 kg.
His own bike in Holland is a BMW1200GSA.

Any tall guys on this forum willing to share their experience?

As far as sports bikes are concerned, I'd say the CBR650F is relatively tall people friendly. A CB might be slightly more comfy for him though. Then again, where there's a will there's a way. I've had 2m tall friends ride an R1 from Holland to Spain so yeah, it can all be done.

He should be ok it's a full size bike, just put a little more air in the tires!
Yes and a few notches extra preload on the rear shock.

There are not so many choices in rental "big" bikes here.
Another option might be a Kawasaki Versys, which might suit him more as he's an adventure bike guy.
He was however very interested in the CBR as I told him how good that bike is :D.

He's going to be much happier on an adventure style bike. The 650 is fine, and probably better than most sport bikes, but at his size, an upright, adventure style would be a better choice.

6'3", 240lbs here.

Thanks for your advice.
For big trips he usually ships his own bike, but he's only here for a short time. I'll convey your message and leave it up to him.

Hey there.
I own a CB650F from what I know they are similar seating style. I am 6’5” and on my way down from 120kg slowly plenty fast enough now. Exited to be rewarded with the extra power to weight as I drop down.
Hope that helps. I am very happy with the bike.

The CBR is quite a bit more leaned forward due to it having clip-ons instead of handlebars. The cycle-ergo.com site (which is pretty cool, check it out! :) ) shows the difference quite clearly:

Do note that it's the 2014 models for the bike they're comparing. I believe the 2017/2018 version of the CB is slightly more leaned forward than the 2014-2016 model, but still not quite as much as the CBR.

Yes, the CB is closer to his own bike (Aircooled BMW R1200GS Adventure).
The knee angle on his bike is larger, because that bike is considerably higher.
