I have now changed the bars to superbike ultra low renthal and it feel so much better .It still gives the bike and upright seating feel with a little twist of old school street fighter (if you get what i mean )

I have now come across a little obstacle! I want to change the grips to renthal to suit the bars but have an issues with the throttle side. The original grip has been removed to reveal the twist grip on the bike. And it looks like to renthal grip will not fit correctly.. Is there a way around this or would i need to buy a new throttle twister to achieve this

Thanks

Mic

What’s the actual issue? If it’s the plastic ridges that Honda puts on the throttle tube to keep the grip from turning, sand/file/dremel them off and use a good grip glue to hold the new ones in place.

If it’s something else, let us know what it is and we can try to help.

What Mike said. You have to file the little ridges off. I had to do the same for my Oxford grips. There are YouTube videos on the process.

All sorted now and Renthal grips installed. Thanks for the advice Rafe .The bike is starting to come on heaps now. Just looking around for real carbon fibre front and rear mud guards...Also i have now installed rear bobbins so i can pop the bike up on a paddock stand now..Makes working easier.
