Carplay ACC cable?

Hi all,

I bought a carplay / android auto screen device from amazon, I am going to install it very soon but I need some advice on the wiring.

The instruction says to wire the red cable to the ACC cable of the bike, which I am assuming is the ignition but I have no idea where that is.

Suggestions?

ACC means switched power so it doesn’t have to be ignition directly but a switched source like the license plate light wire or one of the accessory pigtails on the bike.

Service manual has a wiring diagram in it, link to a download is in the resources section.

Thanks this is actually a good point!! I am going to wire it to the licence plate light, I am assuming it will have to go to the positive cable right?

Can you tell me what one you got? Does this put Android auto on the stock screen or does it come with its own screen?

Then returned it and bought the same on Aliexpress for £30 cheaper, it's called firefly on there.

I also installed a new windscreen that could keep the screen nice and tidy in a comfortable driving position, i find the quad lock phone on the handlebar very distracting and too low for my liking. I had to design a 3D printed bracket to have it just right. Will share pictures later.

Overall it's a nice quality carplay / android auto screen, connects ro your phone with Bluetooth and wifi direct, there are models with cameras and tyre pressure I went with the basic as i hate cabling lol.

Thats decent, I was thinking it would get in the way of the other screen, but didn't think about it going above. Thanks
