Brake reservoir

Bit of a newbie question here. If I take my brake reservoir cover off that's by the throttle grip and replace it with an aftermarket one do I need bleed the lines once done? Or am I safe to keep riding?

If you're careful, you can do that without the need for bleeding.
The main things are to prevent water, dirt and/or air entering the system.

So if I am gentle and just replace the cover I should be fine by the sounds of things. Which is good news cause I am not experienced at bleeding lines
