One thing I appreciate on my 2020 cbr-650-r - is that the Brake lever - is actually adjustable.

The thing that bugs me is that the Clutch lever is not.
I can reach it, but wish it was closer - for a more comfortable reach/operation.
I don't know why manufacturers make it so far away. I feel sorry for anyone with smaller hands.

[Before] I go and buy aftermarket adjustable clutch/brake levers - is there actually "any" way to get the [stock] clutch lever adjusted a bit closer ?

Not as far as I know. You can adjust the ergonomics of the lever up and down in relation to your arm but you can't bring the lever closer unless you go aftermarket.

I bought aftermarket levers and never looked back. So much better to be able to fine tune the levers to your hands/gloves.

Cheapest and best option is to get these from Amazon: MZS Levers I’ve got them I’m on my bike because at that time Puig weren’t in stock and they’ve held up great and install was super easy on stock setup. Plus it’s great adjusting on fly for different gloves (I ride in winter time) And before someone says anything about quality, bike was dropped once (knocked over) and they literally got scrapped and actually protected bike from any major damage.

As Rafe said, the answer is no.
About aftermarket levers, many users provided positive feedback for Puig levers, but they reach ASV price territory, so…. ASV

Some pictures from mine (unfortunately had to pay almost double the price due to import taxes)

You will need to purchase an aftermarket adjustable clutch lever. I have the Puig 3.0 folding lever 210NR. You also need buy the Puig adapter 9744N.

I just installed Puig 3.0 Adjustable Clutch Lever + the CBR pivot piece, from Revzilla. Only problem is colors are limited. I only changed the clutch lever, as the brake lever is fine.

I'm not sure if I would recommend the Puig levers. I have both the v2.0 and the v3.0 and both feel a little too loose for my liking. What I mean by loose is not the grip, but that the parts are able to pivot up and down a slight amount due to large tolerances in the parts. I find myself wishing I spent just a little bit more for ASV or something else. Heck, even the OEM levers don't pivot like the Puig ones do.

Thanks.
Yes I was thinking of going with ASV.
Believe it or not, I'm ok with the price of the levers, just not the price of the shipping, which is unbelievably high.
I may just have to bite the bullet and get them.
I don't know why Honda places the clutch lever so uncomfortably far away like that.

I have shorty Pazzo Racing levers on the cb650f (2018). They are nicely made. No excess play, and good hand feel.

Dude, the oem clutch lever on my Triumph Speed Triple 1200 (and only the clutch lever) has SO much play it's ridiculous, and it even rattles horribly at certain rpms. In comparison, its brembo brake lever doesn't have any slop. Beats me. Anyway, I didn't find my Puig 3.0 offensive like the Triumph clutch lever, at least.

I just cut through a couple of washers so they could be fitted onto the cable and then the gap in washer closed by hand.
Once on just adjusted the cable tension. Worked a treat. The more washers you add the closer the lever will get.
Picture shows lever in pressed position so you can see the washers.
