Nearly 20,000 teens in Georgia have received their driver's licenses without a road test | CNN

Georgia isn't the only state that is waiving road tests. Wisconsin announced this week that it will start doing the same for 16- and 17-year-olds, starting Monday.

They still have a long way to go to catch up with northeast drivers. 20,000 teens without road tests could put a respectable dent in it, though (all puns totally intended!).
