I recently bought a CBR650F ABS after riding classic bikes for quite few years. Last classic I rode a lot was a 1986 VF500 so you can imagine the difference this bike has made. I had the 650 at the T.T. for a week this year and while there I meet another 650 owner who had one with CBR500 bars fitted to give more rise. Has anyone else had these fitted and if so were there any problems in fitting.

I am the guy that did the CBR500R handle bars.

I'm thinking about 2nd top yoke/tree thing, As a solution and going back to the CBR650F handle bars. My CBR500R handle bar gives issues! Also I'm a small guy, if your tall, you might feel bunched up.

Welcome to the forum and welcome to modern bikes. As has been mentioned here before this is the friendliest bike forum on the internet, so I'm sure people will always be willing to help with any questions you have.

Welcome :)

The most classic bike I rode was a 2 stroke RX100 1986 and some of the successors and a modern classic Royal Enfield. After that I moved to this CBR650F, though I wanted to stick to cruisers as it feels so relaxed. Suprisingly this bike impressed me so much I just paid the deposit end of the test ride and 2.5 years later upgraded some parts and made it much more sharper :)
