I recently bought this from an authorized reseller. They installed the restrictor kit on-site. However, after getting it home, I noticed that the RPMs are unusually high. It starts at 1,000 RPM but then accelerates to 2,000 RPM on its own. I need help figuring this out—any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi. If it was running fine before they touched it, take it back and let them fix it.
If you are determined to fix their mistake however, grab the service manual from the resources section on here and look at the MAP sensor & vacuum hose. It's is 9 times out of 10 that being loose / disconnectioned / split or leaking in some way.
