Hello, I'm just wondering if there is anyone with a small front sprocket on the 650, I'm thinking to put a smaller front sprocket to get more push in the taking off , looking for information in any side effects thanks
Hi,
Looking to clean the flicked chain lube off the inside of the front sprocket cover. Has anyone removed the cover by simply undoing the gear selector position adjusting rod, rather than taking off the complete assembly including the pinch bolt on the selector shaft? I was hoping by undoing...
Hi all, took chain off my bike tonight and plan to put new sprockets and chain on this week, just wondered the torque settings for front/rear sprockes? Also, my manual says for drive chain slack 25-35mm...is this still the case for the bike on paddock stands?Cheers...Aidan
**Edit- my 2019...
I live overseas and am trying to change to a 14T sprocket on my 2019 cb650r. Everyone says they don't carry them but they have the cb650f sprockets. Also they say they won't interchange. Some diagrams I found say the specs are exact. So... different or same?
Getting a shop to install something...
Seems buzzie but I am excited. Mad gains I am guessing but 52 foot-pounds torque now. enough to scare me. Took all of 45 minutes including setting the chain slack cost me like 45 CAD. Did it on the kick stand. Since I have ABS there is no problems with the speedo. Only issue I have now...
Hi there
I already searched the forum, but didn't find anything similar. Here is my problem:
Today I cleaned the chain (with front sprocket cover removed). That's the first time since I "DIY-ed" the OEM Quickshifter on my 2019 CB. When put in neutral and turning the wheel the chain or enginge...
I recently heard someone claiming that adding a teeth or two in the front sprocket reduces vibration and he has done it before.
While I believe the effect won't be dramatic, I thought it was interesting because it's like the only solution I know that actually deals with the cause of the...
Can someone please confirm (or deny) the size of the sprocket nut is M12 x 1.25 ?
And it’s a standard flanged nut, yes, not a locking nut or anything ?
Thanks
Hi Folks,
I am planning to replace the Chain and Sprockets on my 2015 CBR650F in the next few weeks, I have a new chain slider also.
I was wondering are there any other tasks I should look at while I'm there?
Front\Rear Wheel Bearings?
Rubber Dampers?
Cheers
Rob
There seems to be a wide variety of prices out there. I am looking at a DID 525 VX3 package via a Ebay shop but the JT front sprocket does not appear to have the rubber cushioning. Price is great but am nervous of the noise. Thoughts and recommendations please

I was thinking i might go 14 44 if it's to short ill go 15 on the front instead.

Hi all,
I am looking to buy some sprockets and chain for my CB650R.
In fact, I already ordered the rear sprocket (Supersprox Stealth, all black) and chain (Tsubaki 525 Alpha-2 XRG), but still need to pull the trigger on a front sprocket.
from what I’ve heard, original Honda front/drive...

So the title says it all really. I am just hoping to get some thoughts on this change just before I do it. I have had friends tell me ooo that's a big jump and one that claims to be a bike "god" ... says even just 2 on the rear would make a world of difference...
Hi!
Has anyone here tried changing the front sprocket on a cbr650f from stock 15t, to 16t or 17t?
Reason Im thinking about doing it is for highway comfort. The bike vibrates quite a lot after 4800 rpm and at that point Im at a speed of only 100 kmh (62 mph). I would like to move this rpm to...
Hi guys,
I'm planning to change both sprockets from stock to 16T/40T and I'm wondering how the bike's odometer gets the speed reading...is it from ABS sensor located on a front wheel or of a transmission. I guess the question is do I need a speedohealer to make needed adjustment and have it...
Going to go 48 teeth on the rear and one down in the front I just can’t find any sprockets specifically for 650f would the 600rr be same specs? Performance wise I want more torq considering the 650f is low torque to begin with, just wanted to see if I’m heading twords the right mod.
