cool mods! how's the turning radius after changing the bars into clip ons?
Still get a full turn but the controls are very close to the air ducts when completely turned. Considering getting the woodcraft 3"riser clip-ons for more clearance and different angle.

THIS is the greatest CB650R i've ever seen!! Holy cow. I love it! The CBR650R OEM clip on bars! WOW!!

Some new photos today

Love the handlebars! I was thinking of doing the same thing to my CB650R also but it defeats the purpose of me buying the bike. I bought the CB over the CBR was because of the seating position and wouldn't hurt my upper back/neck like all sport bikes, and also being heavy on the wrists. Do you get the same problems?

Thanks~

I originally got the bike for the same reason. Switched from a Triumph Dayton 675 to this to give my back and wrists some slack. I'm not sure if I'm completely happy with the new bars but it's not nearly as aggressive as the sport bike, as the CBR650R is more of a supersport. There's about an inch rise compared to standard clip on. My back is not sore from the several rides I've had with these bars so far. If you're interested in swapping to clip ons I'd recommend getting a 3" rise. The air scoops get in the way for most optimal bar position.

Thank you so much for the info! Even my girlfriend's CBR300R was hurting my back. I'll probably have to to try it out first to see if it hurts.

I ordered yesterday. I have to take care here in Germany that the Technical Inspection Association does not go crazy.
So I use the CBR650R clip-ons instead of the woodcraft clip-ons.

Thank you very much for giving me this idea!

No problem. These are the part numbers I ordered for the bars and the 10mm bolt to tighten them down. Wasn't sure how much torque for tightening but manual said 10mm bolt was 25ft/lbs and they've been secure so far. As I mentioned before, be warned, depending how you mount them they can/will/may touch the air intake cowls.

Where can I get myself a set of those handle bars and mirrors? Been looking everywhere for something that good! they fit so well together. I can't seem to find the page for either.

Did you decide to keep the clip-ons in the end? I've been thinking of getting some for mine but I'd like to know how they are for the longer term.

Sorry missed your message. I'm using the Rizoma drag bars currently. I prefer the feel and look of the OE clipons but I have a narrow garage and parking the bike got a bit annoying with the smaller turning radius and occasional finger pinch

Just a quick question for you did you have to modify the stock clip ons to fit with the CB top bridge? Or did they fit right up without having to cut the nubs off

I left the guide nubs on. If you can get them grinded down you'll have more rotational options for sweep angles.

I tucked it right under the top plate and I found that sweep to be great for me but at full turns the grips do touch the intake cowls and you may pinch your fingers.

Two pics of how I had them set up.

This was the position I liked the most. It was tucked right under the top plate.

This was when I first installed them and had the nubs outside the top plate pushed the clipons to most forward position.

Hey are you using any bar weights with the Rizoma drag bar at all? If not, how are you finding the vibrations?

No weights at all. The inner diameter of the drag bars are way to small to fit original or sato weights.

There's still some vibration but barely noticable and not bothersome to me at all.

Man that's good news! Sato Racing Inner Bar Weights are nigh-on impossible to find right now...this is a lifesaver solution to mount bar-ends!

Although these Rizoma parts are way too expensive - getting mad second thoughts after seeing the final checkout price 🤬

Lol yeah once you do one or two Rizoma parts you want many more.

I was considering the motogadget mview blade bar end mirrors. Total with adapters equal to all of your Rizoma parts there....

I had bar end mirrors... Looks great but for actual looking wise they're not so great. Depending on vibrations and location you can't see much.
