My take on this after having done a few oil changes on my 2020 is the 2.6 litres the manual says to put in measures barely above the minimum on the dipstick. So don’t be shy and keep pouring.
Just a quick heads up here for 2019 plus owners, while it is correct that the bike has led signals, everything I’ve seen and experienced myself indicates that after market led signals don’t draw the same power as the oem lights and will hyper flash, and you’ll need resistors or a relay to...
Someone else recently posted about installing an integrated tail light from Tucked Up systems. Pretty sure it’s the same as yours or at least wires up the same. Funny enough I had looked into integrated tail lights a while back and I remember watching their install video on YouTube, link below...
Unless you’re ready and capable, with the tools, to start tearing the bike down to see the plugs, test spark, test compression, you’re not going to get anywhere diagnosing and solving the problem. I’m afraid without a smoking gun or clues, we the forum can’t really suggest much. Have you at...
Adding a full exhaust system doesn’t really do anything noticeable for the power of the bike. Neither does an ecu remap. Full exhaust system is the only option for this bike, unless you’re willing to cut up the oem exhaust. It’s all one piece. You say that you rode your friends bike and noticed...
Yes this is a good point. Also, were you careful with the sensor wire when unscrewing and screwing back in? If careful it’s not essential, but Ideally we should unplug the sensor up top from the bike so the wire can spin freely. Otherwise if it’s plugged in you end up really twisting the wires...
Do you have any other riding experience? The 650 unrestricted is plenty fast and fun for most, at least for a couple years. I had an R6 before and my 650r I find quenches the speed thirst pretty well if you really send it. Had it almost 3 years now, but I am starting to get that itch. But if I...
I’ve never really studied dyno charts, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen hp and torque lines like the originals in red. With rpm bouncing around like that. Is that normal for a stock bike having no tune?
I’m curious, were the lights aiming high from new or were they replaced? I’ve never given any thought to the possibility that I could be blinding other drivers 😅. I hope I’m not. Was it easily noticeable?
Reviving an old thread here…anyone have good or bad experiences to share on these chain adjuster / swing arm spools combo? Has the anodizing held up? Are the measurement indicators precise, clearly legible, and stay that way over time? Fitment? Seems like the same product on every site, eBay...
Don’t be so hard on yourself. The bike came out of this actually looking pretty good I’d say. I really don’t think you should be worried about engine damage. Nothing looks cracked, particularly the plastics, so seems like the initial impact was softened by your forward velocity. More sliding...
Mine did exactly the same, about the same mileage it was low. It’s one of two things you mentioned or mix of both, some evaporation or when the bike was prepared when new they didn’t bleed the system well enough. We should all get into the habit of checking fluids often, at least every 1000...
Yeah it doesn’t hold much and must not forget it’s ideal to fill with the bike level and off the kick stand. If it’s on the max level while on the kick stand it will overflow with bike upright.
How long has it been since the coolant was changed? Or when did you last check it? It’s normal for coolant level to drop between services, especially if riding in hot weather or in traffic often. If it’s just the overflow that’s empty, no big deal, just need to top it up.
Hopefully you’re not just waiting for them to call you with an update? Because there’s a pretty good chance that you won’t get a call until it has arrived or ver very close to arrival. Unfortunately not all dealers are on top of their game when it comes to keeping contact with a customer after...
