id give them a 7/10
Use locktite blue on the rearset screws and locktite red on the gear shift lever screw, otherwise it will undo and fall out.
I had to replace the hex head screws the clipons came with because i could not get enough torque to prevent rotation if you leaned heavy on them. I...

The rearsets you can get from aliexpress for a ton cheaper. I ordered mine from there, they are the same product with no logo...
I did the swap in conjunction with aftermarket rear-sets, which i have raised higher and further back. Doing both make the ride feel good but i would like even lower bars. I dont know that i would do just the clip-ons without also doing rear-sets.
Yeah i have, i think i was able to get a 40mm ish drop at most. The problem is the stupid high side fairings. Almost sold my F to buy an R because they solved the issue with the new bike.
To get the 40mm drop, i had to use fully adjustable clip-ons flipped upside down (danmoto was the brand), I...
In case anyone is interested, i stumbled upon a bracket to mount a steering damper to a 650R

Split your difference and dropped 7mm. Its as you say, helps turn in but is not massive. Im headed out to some twistes tomorrow so ill get more of a feel then.
I've seen on a few Thai 650f's that the front forks have been raised in the triple tree, lowing the front end.
This would improve the bikes ease of lean but lower the stability. Has anyone here done this/ is it worth it?
I've done the ohlins upgrade on my forks and I'm running Corsa 2 rubber...
Can confirm the plates were not sealed correctly. I did dimple the plates however, one dimple was the slightest bit to shallow. After fixing it i now have no tick or rattle.
If anyone does this in the future and gets a tick like in the video above, check your seal.
I ended up taking all the rear plastics off and there is a metal support that sits under that piece you linked. I decided i didn't want to take an angle grinder to my bike and left the idea. The bit i was referring is the bottom part of what you linked, it forms part of the rear tail underside.
First person without being able to look into the corners hurts my brain. To bad they don't support TrackIR (head tracking) or i might be tempted to pick up a copy myself. It cool they have the 650f in the lineup!
I was going to do something similar with my yoshi before deciding to modify the stock system and keep the underslung look. If you plan to do the same as the image you posted, you lose the catalytic converter. You have two options for attaching you slip on. Buy/fab a link pipe that is welded onto...
Im also in Melbourne, if the weather permits id also be keen to come for a ride. I'm way over on the west side but all the good roads are out your way (disregarding ocean road)
This has been done. There are places that offer a link pipe for the 650f to allow the use of a normal side mount slip on exhaust. You just lose the unique look of the under-slung system. If you dont care about it, have a look at getting a link pipe + slip on. Its pretty much the same deal as...
Or you can go the super cheap DIY route i took and replace the muffler to get some more sound.

Stolen from a Facebook group im on, but someone has already managed to get their hands on 650R parts. Apparently the whole front end setup can just bolt on.
I've put the bike back together already, but the intakes are designed with air flow restriction built in. Here is a real quick not-to-scale mock up. I don't have a dealer near me so i'll need to make some calls.
