Nope still broken unfortunately. Took it to a trusted independent who also couldn't work out what it was. I never used it much so going to leave it as-is
You probably won't get a summons as they had something more important.
If you do get a summons, you can take solace in the fact that 101 on the Honda Speedo is significantly less in real life. Anything over a true 96mph is a guaranteed date with the magistrate and possible ban.
Hello, just probing the hive mind here.
2019 CB650R. OEM Quickshifter installed by supplying dealer and fully functional until today.
It's suddenly just stopped. Two forceful gearchanges without clutch confirm its not just gone sticky. Clutch actuated changes are still smooth etc etc.
Only...
There isn't much available on the back of these to connect to. My only thought is that the footpeg mounting bolts are quite high up, meaning you'll possibly have some interesting cornering characteristics with the trailer attached?
@Richo21 how did you tackle your throttle cables? Official guide suggests slackening at the throttle body. Some guy on YouTube suggests removing the handle bars. Neither I'm particularly keen on! Is there another method?
Faffing around with the tank was one of the main reasons I've been putting this off. Won't get a chance to tackle it until September now, but I'll report back :)
The guide seems to show all sorts of tucking and cable ties under the tank. Is this actually located under the seat? I only took a quick browse through the guide before posting the question :)
Ah I have another question for you then @Richo21 .
Removal of the fuel tank. Am I right that there's something to prevent the fuel spilling out of the tank when you detach the lines?
Hello, I have bought the OEM grip heater kit which I plan to tackle soon. I notice the instructions call for Hondabond A to reattach the grips.
I've done a quick Google and can only see Hondabond 4 or Hondabond HT available online.
Is this stocked in dealers or is there something else I can...
Can I ask a stupid question here.
I know there are some differences in UK and USA pumps, but if you push the nozzle right into the tank until it hits the base, does the auto shut-off not trigger as soon as the tank fuel level reaches the base of the nozzle?
Wait are people shoving the pump nozzle right into the tank until it hits metal?!
I've been delicately hovering it above the opening for the last two years!
One bar from top is normal. I've only ever seen mine operate two bars from top when I took it out in November in freezing fog.
I try to pootle for the last few miles when I'm coming home to get some heat out of the engine. Whether it does anything to help or not, I don't know
