I consider a fuel controller (or remap) a good to have.
1.The engine is running a bit lean from factory to meet emission standards.
2.There is a noticeable power dip around 4-5000 RPM. It is more obvious on the 650R and less on the 650F.
Both PCV (with default map) and a flash(generic) will...
I use a DNA air filter and is good build quality.
I clean it at every oil change (6000 KM) using the K&N foam and oil. It's not a rocket science and only takes patience. A clean filter (K&N/DNA) will be grayish color. The oil is red(ish) so you can't miss spots when reapplying. There are many...
Asked a friend who works at Honda. He said that in the photos the sparkplugs look normal. He also said that the OEM 650R plugs are good quality and they don't have any problems. Interval to replace is 32.000 km.
If you go for ECU flash you should consider getting an aftermarket filter.
The ones for 650R have a bigger surface, higer flow and improve the sound.
The upfront cost is higher, but the filter can be cleaned and oiled regularly.
@NedimB I recommend taking the bike to the Honda dealer. Ask them go over all the main screws/bolts, torque them to spec. and use a paint marker to indicate the correct position.
You should visually inspect them before every ride.
100hp too powerful and 230 kg too heavy indicate a lack of skill, confidence or both. I suggest you consider improving those before changing the bike.
The differences between the z750 and cb650 are too small in both weight(15 kg) and power(15 hp) to make a real difference.
A bike with...
Just maxing out first gear on a straight flat road with no wind. Akra, DNA filter and first remap.
For constant acceleration 12750 RPM is too late, found 11000 to be better for upshifting so bike stays at peak torque.
I found the stock front underdamped from the very beginning. I was never a fan of progressive spings so to me the change was worth and the below is subjective. It's in the top 3 changes under good tires and fueling (pair valve and remap).
predictable when soaking small bumps and...
I don't think you need to defend anything. We were making fun of how you described it, not the actual vibration or riding style.
A better indication would be gear, rpm and exhaust. Some aftermarket mods (crash cages, racks) might also increase vibration.
My bike also has a "strange" vibration...
The exhaust improves air flow and the ECU partially compensates by adding more fuel as long as the bike has the O2 sensor (closed loop system).
By adding more air and some fuel you get slightly more power.
The ECU will not compensate for a full exhaust system so the bike will run leaner. Being a...
To me it looks good... and expensive.
There are better mods to spend your $ on and generally speaking changing sprung weight to unsprung one is not a good idea.
Will definitely make maintenance: chain adjustment, break cleaning more difficult.
I had a different swingarm attached mud guard...
