I think the bike looks better without, but the metal one looks better than the smoked one, even if it's less useful.
I've read about the whistle over the guage but I've never heard it personally. I think I do have quite a loud helmet though
I have a quad lock charger that I've installed on my CB650. I've done this by running the wire down the side of the bike. I'd prefer to run it along the loom along with the rest of the cables to prevent unintended chafing etc.
I'm using the heated grip manual to figure out the best route.
I have a CB650R. My most common false neutral is when shifting 1>2. Lowering the lever helped a lot. Agree with @icemankent. The worst feeling is not getting the false neutral, it's the thought that "oh no I now need to smash it into second"
It really doesn't make a happy sound when you do it...
Yeah that's good to know, I hadn't got around to mounts etc, my short term plan is just to stick the phone under the seat.
A stem mount appeals because it's dead centre. I'll probably do something similar with a second hand phone to guard against vibration damage to the camera.
I've just been...
That's a great help, thanks!
It looks like I have the lighting multiplug in the right location but with the wires fed the wrong way. I'll sort that out at the weekend.
You're right, there's not a lot of space in there to get at the socket!
I'm attempting to install the accessory socket on my CB650R but I'm not convinced the previous owner hasn't shunted the wiring around as it seems to be a mess. Has anyone got any photos of how it's meant to look?
Heres mine below.
I think the cable with the blue arrow is in the wrong place? It...
You'll have to pay 20% VAT as a minimum.
There are some tariffs too depending on what it is you are buying. In the region of 1-2%.
You can use this tool to work out the exact tariff for each part:
I've looked into it a bit further. Turns out the accessory socket and the USB C adapter are located in the same area.
For the USB C adapter you need two separate parts.
USB adapter (assume this is stolen from the parts bin due to the awkward location of the port once installed. It is rated to...
Just a further update on fitting. The USB adapter is located in the fuse box area. On the install manual it attaches to three pillars moulded into the compartment. On the 2019MY there are only two pillars in this location so it isn't a direct fit for older bikes in this location. There is also a...
Hello, I have a 2019MY CB650. I was contemplating ordering the accessory socket when I noticed the new 2021 model year is available with a USB-C power supply instead of the cigarette lighter type.
This is more desirable for me as my phone already uses USB C. Looking at the parts diagram, it...
When mine resonates it feels like it coming from the tank. It's an odd sensation. It's most obvious in 6th gear but I live with it if it's on the motorway, otherwise I just drop down to get the revs up
Would some spacers and longer bolts create enough room below the givi brackets for the tail tidy to sail under other bracket?
Alternatively I think the Shad setup is slightly different and wouldn't clash
My optimate 3 arrived today, It's fitted with a two-prong European plug. I'm not sure if that's normal here or if I got one from the wrong pile?
I can't be bothered enquiring about it or returning it so I've bought an adaptor which should arrive tomorrow, then I can plumb it in.
I did some...
Gutted for you, it must have been awful to watch!
Those bars look like they have done the job now. The extra width compared to regular crash bungs probably helped stop the clutch lever snapping.
I've dropped mine twice now with expected consequences :(
Thanks for the recommendation, I've ordered a couple of bottles to share between the car and the bike. I've no experience and sounds like there are no side effects to leaving the tank full at all times so will just do that :)
Will research ACF50 now!
I've now ordered an optimate so that's the first step done, thanks all.
This had been interesting, we have a car that we park up every year from sept-may and the only preparation is removing the battery. The tank is plastic so I wasnt concerned about rust so much, I didn't think 6 months would...
I'll start searching for an optimate now.
Currently have a tank full of 95 Ron so will use that up once the rain is less torrential then switch to super for the winter.
Haven't heard of stab-il before so going to look that up, I was worried mainly about the water leaching out from the...
