    If you're one of these...

Plenty of other states have similar problems. This isn't a "California sucks" rant nor a place for one. I have no intention of leaving California either, as what you state is grossly inaccurate in the first place. Got any more excuses for BS behavior?

    If you're one of these...

This rant was also exclusive to other riders. Drivers who do it are extremely rare. Other motorcyclists are extremely common. Why wave at drivers that see you? I'd be waving constantly. The only thing I wave at other riders that pull that BS is my middle finger.

    If you're one of these...

Around here, it is almost exclusively other motorcyclists. Drivers are easy to deal with.

    If you're one of these...

If you're a rider that buzzes, cuts off, passes too closely, or is otherwise a jackass to other riders, FU. I don't care what you ride or how cool you think you are, FU. I also don't care if you "wave" or "flash a peace sign" after doing it, FU. If this offends you, perhaps consider how you...

How to wreck your motorcycle without being on it

Yes, it is closed due to fire damage and a washout or two. The problem sections show up on Google Earth, in the August 2019 photography. Los Angeles County also shows it closed on their site with no date of opening.

How to wreck your motorcycle without being on it

That particular location is just east of Kanan Road. Otherwise known as "The Snake" and is well known for being an idiot magnet.

How to wreck your motorcycle without being on it

I'm sorry, but what was the expected result there? You have a company that will gladly take "action shots" while you ride there, in addition to the already high levels of stupidity. Let's show off for the camera and the people watching! The location is also well known for such stupidity. I've...

No, this was parked on a residential street far from a gas station.

    Black CBR650F in San Diego?

I saw a black CBR650F in the North Park area of San Diego today parked on a residential street. Anyone from here? Bike looked in decent shape and was all black, not a shiny black though.

    Odd experience today

I will check those out. Hopefully it isn't a big deal.

Long ride today. 265 mile loop from home to Palm Desert and back, plus some extras. Tried out the selfie stick.

    Odd experience today

I went for a long ride today which was a lot of fun. What wasn't fun was having the bike stall at speed many miles from services. After pulling the bike to the shoulder and shutting it off, I took a look to see if there were any issues. Not seeing or hearing any, I tried to restart the engine...

Who is allowed to ride your motorcycle?

No one really. If something goes wrong, I'm on the hook for it regardless and I'd potentially be out of a vehicle.

All 650's What did you do with your 650 today?

Well, went into the office for the only time this month and rolled over 20,000 miles on my 2018. Still runs great! I'm going to miss seeing a 1 in front of the mileage. I also got my loan APR reduced quite a bit, so I can pay it off quicker and cheaper.

Comment by 'sdmichael' in item '2018 Honda CBR650FA and Full Gear'

The tail is stock. All I got was the Honda rear seat cowl, from Honda, which is the only non-stock item on the bike.

How old , how long on a bike

Starting riding motorcycles in November 2012 with a 1990 Kawasaki EX500. I've put about 120,000 miles on motorcycles since then, 20,000 on the 650F alone. Haven't owned a car since August 2011. To be honest, I never expected to get a motorcycle. I could have easily talked myself out of one at...

All 650's What did you do with your 650 today?

Took the bike in on Monday. Got the bike back yesterday. The warranty covered the seat latch, thankfully. Now it works like it should. While I was there, I got the chain serviced and had the turn signals fixed as well. Now just shy of 20,000 miles (40 miles to be exact) since February 2019.

All 650's What did you do with your 650 today?

I took mine into the shop today. The seat latch is still having trouble and doesn't always latch properly. Getting the parts replaced which hopefully solves it once and for all. I am also hoping it would be covered under warranty as it seems a defective part. It is still fairly new and has had...

    Favorite Places to Ride

Keep in mind, State 2 is posted at 45 mph until the forest, then 40 mph until Angeles Forest Highway, then 45 until Red Box Gap, then 55 the rest of the way. The "fun" section of Angeles Crest is from Red Box Gap to Islip Saddle. East of Islip, there tends to be more rocks in the roadway, so...

    Favorite Places to Ride

Angeles Crest Highway (State 2) runs from Foothill Blvd in La Canada to Big Pines Highway, west of Wrightwood. State 2 continues east / north as Big Pines Highway to State 138 at Mountain Top Summit. You might be thinking of Rim of the World Drive, which is State 18 (mostly) and runs from State...
