Sorry Russ - have never taken a pillion on my CBR. It's supposed to be a little bit taller than the OEM for the pillion, but I've no idea how the area or comfort compare to the Honda one.
@rustyeyed Awesome - I wouldn't bother paying too much attention to the I got 'X BHP on X dyno'. All dyno's are highly subjective, the air temperature and moisture on the day plays a big part as do lots of other factors. You could go back a few days later and get another reading which is 5HP...
Hi Rob - the tuning place did the whole lot for me so I don't know I'm sorry. If I had to guess, I would say it's probably not blanked off.
I've just read some threads about the pair valve and I don't have any of the symptoms people have listed. My bike is super smooth at all revs (inc low...
I wouldn't say throw, it's more gently pushing you forwards. I have some snakeskin tank pads on the bike too now so this complements it nicely and you just feel locked/tuned in all the time (not in a restrictive or uncomfortable way at all - just more in control all the time).
I would never go...
Hey @bobstrax - it's been/is fantastic, have done some all day 10-12 hour rides over the summer and seat was spot on comfort/performance wise.
Like I said above, it does honestly fit onto the bike better than the Honda one.
The only negative I can think of is it's not compatible with the Honda...
Hi - yes, I've got a custom modified Akrapovic.
See this thread for details:

And yes 82hp at the wheel is roughly 94hp at the crank so extremely pleased with the result.
Got a PCV and K+N fitted and then dyno'd using a custom map.
Utterly amazing. The bike is soooo different now. It literally just pulls all through the revs in every gear!!
Big respect to the guys at Hammer & Tongs in Warrington, UK for transforming the bike.
Best £500 I've spent on it.
Hi Xorro - I've not noticed too much difference, the height appears to be the same. It looks like the pillion would be higher up though.
The seat does tend to naturally push you more forwards compared to the stock, which is great for the more spirited rides.
I'm loving the seat though - it...
Sure, I've only done a 4 hour ride so far, seat was fantastic.
Yeah, bike crime is pretty bad here in UK. Chain was bought for my previous bike, a KTM, which is top of the scum bags shopping list :(
