I went from a CB650F to a VFR 800 and later a GSXS-1000
Both great bikes, none of the really spoke to me, i like to ride and test many bikes (its fun) and i find it really allowed me to see what i personally like and dislike.
Now i own a MT03 660 for fun and backroad goofing, and a flashed VFR...
When you are in your car, fully intent on dragracing that random bike that pulled up next to you, and get absolutely obliterated by said bike. Worse still is that he had no idea you were dragracing.
I absolutely adore my GSX-S 1000, having owned the CB650 it shares many of the good parts, but with all the oomph you need. :)
The K5 motor on the 2020 version is super crisp and they'v finally fixed the fuling, thing hauls.
Edit: If you want less insane power, the GSX-S 750 motor is also a gem.
186 CM (6.2 foot) 72kg's i wear a size medium over my suit which is pretty snug. The dainese vest is super stretchy, so it will fit over anything (or under) assuming your gear is not race fit tight. I can wear it comfortably even over my Revit Quantum racesuit. Lasts me around a 2 weeks on a...
I personally ride with the dainese airbag vest, since i bought i cant make myself ride without it, just knowing how much protection is actually offered i'd feel like an idiot not using it (now that i have it), even for super short rides.
I do think the A-stars product is the better one both...
Yup that sounds nastier than anything i'v ever dealt with, have had some pretty interesting experiences crossing large bridges that tbh probably should have been closed due to the weather.
Staying loose and as you say lean into it gets you through 90% of the bad stuff with very little effort. I...
Just dont death grip your controls, i'v never had wind be a serious issue when riding as long as you dont tense up and let the bike do its thing its really not a big deal.
Rain sucks tho
I think you can get some sort yeah. I wouldn't do it as a proper auto-blipper would require ride-by-wire, which these bikes do not have.
Which means your "blips" might not be accurate depending on what RPM's your at. I'd not risk it
Liked them on my VFR aswell. After 5000kms they still looked great, then i had a puncture 💩. I never felt 100% at ease when going all out on track, but for road pace they were plenty. S22 for me remains the only tire i get consistently great mileage on, and can slap a knee into the asphalt...
Had the Angle GT II's on my VFR until i suffered metal spike sticking out of a road, murdered my rear :D... But they handled really nicely, and also had more than enough grip for street / the odd trackday on bikes below probably 130HP tbh, even if you were hard on them. The rear especially...
All 3 will do wet and dry hard riding, if you really dislike riding in the wet (and can avoid it i.e you dont commute on your bike) i'd go for the GT II's simply because i love how it handles, and i'v had both the road 5 and S22. :) All 3 are great options regardless.
Cant figure out if i like the idea of the new M9RR's. Will they beat the S22 in grip or mileage? I rather doubt it, might as well go for Angle GT II's or road 5's if you want more miles and probably much the same grip in the corners.
The system cleaner did wonders, used half of it for a full tank (as suggested on it), completely eliminated any odd fueling issues. Got clean oil in it now, and will use the last half of the cleaner next time i fill it up with gas, suspect the little 800cc V4 will tick happily for many more...
