Yes, It's a Honda thing and only for the CBR1000RR.
I went to the opening of a new dealership building here in Hua Hin and they had the RC213v and CBR1000RR-SP on display.
Couldn't help drooling over them.:D
There are places in Bangkok to have them de-restricted at reasonable cost.
I did a test-ride on one and they are nowhere near as comfortable as a CBR650F.
Also they have more heat emission and like you said Thailand's traffic and road conditions are not ideal for that kind of power.
Gotta admit your bike looks great. If it makes you happy it's worth the cash.
I'm more a stock freak. The Honda engineers delivered a near perfect bike imo.
Just my view, but I enjoy the diversity of other people's bikes.

Enjoy your ICE bike while you still can.
As an old guy I practice "enjoy every day while you're still around".

If we had the original site still running, it is very likely I could extract all messages with the posting-date and poster-name connected, nicely organized in separate files and...
None so far. I've bought a gear-indicator on ebay, but not installed yet.
In the beginning I was sometimes hunting for the elusive 7th gear, but now no issues already.
I'm happy with the exhaust sound myself (not too loud and a little throaty).
Quite happy with it in general, but it all depends...
