I think Canada/Ontario has the highest rates in the entire world. That being said, many younger sportbike riders have got their contract canceled in past few months. rates are either insanely high (doubled or tripled) or they dont bother to insure you anymore. Ridersplus which is the main insurer here, does not insure 2019 CBR650R and CB650R anymore. My friend is paying 3k for a 650 V-Strom and his brother was recently quoted for whopping 4600 CAD/year for his R6 (Full M for 6 years). Yeah it's brutal. You guys are lucky.

I’m 47 and I have my car license for 28 years and my A license for 22 years. I pay 276 euro / 300 dollar a year with no restrictions on km/mileage, purchase amount plus extras options on the bike are fully covered hole year (all risk) also my helmet and the rest of my gear is extra covered for a amount of 2500,- euros. I have the highest bonus level in my insurance until now.

I'm 20 years old living in Toronto and I'm paying 1k a year full coverage for my CB650R. Only had my license for 2 years but have been riding for 8 years. I also don't have a G class license.

I'm pretty sure now that all the insurance brokers just have a set of those Dungeons and Dragons dice. Roll them and see if you'll pay it.
My kid finally found insurance, $2800 CDN for the 09 Honda Rebel 250 - just liability, 16y old, M2 license he got in July this year.

Weird, did they say why? Some of the individual agents seem to make their own decisions about what they'll insure.

I'm in VA and have nationwide. When I turned 25 my payments dropped to 98 usd a month as opposed to the 160 usd a month. I guess they think I'm lower risk now than I was 6 months ago lol.

Got my insurance for my cb650r. Have had my licence 10 years. 5 year break, so no, no claims discount.
Fully Comprehensive, Hastings insurance, £19.23 a month was about £210 for the year.

From Japan, my CB650R full coverage for 12 months was quoted at ~$1300USD (which is more than my RX-7). So that's a hard "no." I have opted instead for $78USD for liability per 3 months for the time being. They don't care about age or experience.

Who did you kill , why is the insurance so high
Canada thinks ppl of Ontario are bunch of morons who came out of their caves and found the joy of life in riding on two wheels! Ontario has the highest motorcycle insurance in the world if you can get one! you have a bike that ends with RR? fold your plate and ride illegal cause it will cost as much as the cost of your bike (EVERY YEAR!). Not joking

I am looking at all the premiums you guys are listing, but can't help but think how its all so subjective to the limits of liability that you choose for many categories. I know with Progressive, here in the US, your policy can be full coverage but depending on the limits of liability you choose, or skip in some cases, your premium can be quite low or very high. That said I ended up with $499 US for a full coverage middle of the road liability coverage policy. No medical payments with that as that really set the cost on fire.
